Presidential Inauguration
The 60th Presidential Inauguration will take place on the National Mall in Washington, DC, on January 20, 2025. As the Presidential Inauguration ceremonies near, Senator Murkowski is pleased to have the opportunity to share the historic moment with Alaskans. At this time, the Senator does not know how many tickets will be distributed or how tickets will be available as that is up to the Presidential Inauguration Committee, but would like to begin collecting inquiries from interested Alaskans.

In order to process your inquiry, all fields need to be completed. The Alaska Congressional Delegation works together and generally have a ticket lottery, meaning there is no need to request tickets through every Delegation member, as duplicative ticket requests will be condensed to one list.
Due to the limited number of tickets, Senator Murkowski will only able to offer tickets to Alaskans. If you reside outside of Alaska, please contact your home-state U.S. Senators and Representatives. We do not consider non-constituent requests.
This page will be updated as more information is released in regards to the 60th Presidential Inauguration. Please note that entering your information does not guarantee a ticket. Also, the amount of tickets per party will be very limited, thus large groups will be difficult to accommodate. Other important information to note: tickets will not be able to be mailed – they will have to be picked up in person at least one day prior. Which means tickets would likely be distributed on Sunday January 19, 2025 between 10-4pm.
Below are some frequently asked questions from prior inaugurations about the inauguration and your visit to Washington DC:
Unfortunately not. The Inauguration Committee generally only releases tickets to congressional offices a few days prior to the inauguration, thus we will be unable to mail tickets. You will have to be able to personally come to the office to pick up your tickets.
You will get an email with all pertinent information as the process unfolds. Once you fill out the initial inauguration form, you will receive a separate email confirming that you have been placed on the request list. If you do not hear from a member of my staff within one to two business days after you fill out the initial form, please email Kristen_daimler@murkowski.senate.gov. Tickets will only be released to those whose names they have been authorized for. Every person attending would need a ticket – that includes children and infants.
Generally, tickets will be standing-room only on the U.S. Capitol lawn and they are not allowed to be traded, sold or given away. You should plan on standing for at least three hours, if not more.
It is suggested you wear comfortable shoes and warm clothes. January is historically cold and wet in Washington, DC. There will also be long lines expected. Prohibited items include but are not limited to: firearms and ammo, explosives, knives/blades/sharp objects, mace/pepper spray, sticks/poles, pocket/hand tools/Leatherman’s, packages, backpacks, large bags, duffel bags, suitcases, thermoses, coolers, strollers, umbrellas, laser pointers, signs/posters, alcohol, and animals. Food items are also typically not allowed either. You will not be able to come and go once you enter the security perimeter. Please note that if you do not receive a ticket there are still opportunities to go and witness the inauguration further away on the National Mall and thus anyone can attend the Presidential swearing in.
The congressional offices are only given inauguration ceremony tickets (if you are interested in the balls or parade you should go to the Presidential Inauguration Committee website – we will update this information with that address once the website becomes live).
