Murkowski Wishes Alaskans a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Today U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski shared her thoughts with Alaskans this holiday season:
“The end of the year is often regarded as a time of celebration, a time of hope, and a time of reflection. And as we gather with our family and friends this year, I encourage you to cherish those you love, and give thanks for that which we hold most dear. Let’s also make time to think about the achievements and progress in the past year, and resolve to build upon them. As Alaskans we are blessed with incredible resources; an abundant land and a spirit of ingenuity not least among them. Let us count them among our blessings as we spend time with our loved ones this holiday season.”

“This time of year is also the season of giving, and while we tend to get caught in the rush of Christmas shopping and holiday parties, let us not forget those in need and make volunteering a year-round tradition. Alaskans know that the smallest gesture or gift can make a world of difference, and we can all find a way to make a difference in our community.
“And finally, let us not forget the men and women who serve to protect our country all over the world, many of whom are unable to spend the holidays with their families. To all of our service members and their families, their loved ones: we thank you for your service and all that you do for our nation.
“I wish you and your family the very best. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.”
