Murkowski Statement on the Death of Mat-Su Borough Mayor Curt Menard

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, today issued the following statement upon learning of the death of Mat-Su Borough Mayor and former state legislator Curt Menard:

 

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Curt Menard. Dr. Menard’s story is typical of many who came to Alaska as part of their military service, saw the possibilities of making a real difference in our Great Land, and committed their lives to Alaska. A can-do person who never saw an obstacle he could not overcome, he made his mark as a dentist, a legislator, a local official and a pilot. I extend my condolences to Senator Linda Menard, the Menard family and their friends, and the people of the Mat-Su on the loss of one of the really good guys.”
