Murkowski Congratulates President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris on Presidential Campaign Victory

Thanks Trump Administration for Past Four Years

U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) made the following statement after the Electoral College declared President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris as the winners of the 2020 presidential election:

“Today Electoral College delegations voted in their respective states. President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris have crossed the 270-vote threshold needed to be declared our elected President and Vice President. I congratulate them on their victory.

“I thank President Trump, Vice President Pence, and all who served within their administration for the contributions they made to our state, and our nation, during their time in office. On behalf of Alaska, I am grateful for their diligent work on our behalf.

“As the Biden administration begins their time in office, we are grappling with the ongoing pandemic, working to revitalize our economy, striving to address social justice issues, and tackling a number of challenging policy initiatives. Now, more than ever, is the time for us to come together as a nation—to put differences aside move forward for the benefit of the American people.”
