Murkowski, Begich Announce Mobile Office Visits to Southeast Alaska

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sens. Lisa Murkowski, R- Alaska, and Mark Begich, D-Alaska, today announced that members of their staffs will visit the communities of Yakutat, Wrangell, Craig, Klawock, Thorne Bay, Petersburg, Angoon and Gustavus July 20-30, 2009.
 
Congressional staff hold mobile office hours in Alaska in order to meet with constituents and community leaders. During their mobile office hours, staff from each office will be available to take casework requests and listen to constituent concerns about issues related to the federal government. All information gathered by staff will be directed to Sens. Murkowski and Begich as well as to the appropriate federal agencies to resolve concerns raised by Alaskans.

Members of Sen. Murkowski and Sen. Begich’s staff will be holding additional mobile office hours around Alaska throughout the summer. Specific dates and locations will be announced as they are finalized.
