Murkowski, Begich Announce Mobile Office Visit to Prince William Sound

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sens. Lisa Murkowski, R- Alaska, and Mark Begich, D-Alaska, today announced that members of their staffs will visit the communities of Glennallen, Copper Center, Valdez, Cordova and Whittier from June 10 – 15, 2009.
 
Congressional staff hold mobile office hours in Alaska in order to meet with constituents and community leaders. During their mobile office hours, staff from each office will be available to take casework requests and listen to constituent concerns about issues related to the federal government. All information gathered by staff will be directed to Sens. Murkowski and Begich as well as to the appropriate federal agencies to resolve concerns raised by Alaskans.
 
The dates and locations of the mobile office are as follows:
 
Wednesday, June 10, 2009:
Glennallen Post Office
9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
 
Copper Center Post Office
2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
 
Thursday, June 11, 2009:
Valdez City Library Lobby
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
 
Friday, June 12, 2009:
Cordova Post Office
10:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
 
Monday, June 15, 2009:
Whittier – Begich Tower, Column Room
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
 
Members of Sens. Murkowski and Begich’s staff will be holding additional mobile office hours around Alaska throughout the summer. Specific dates and locations will be announced as they are finalized.
