Murkowski Announces Public Schedule for Memorial Day State Work Period

Senator Lisa Murkowski today announced that she is traveling to Anchorage, the Mat-Su Valley and Fairbanks during the Memorial Day work period and will be available for media opportunities at a number of events.

Among her public events will be a public roundtable session in Anchorage on Thursday, bringing together federal officials from the Department of Interior and Department of Energy to walk through the permitting process for Alaska LNG projects.

MAT-SU

The Memorial Day weekend will be spent honoring our veterans in the Mat-Su Valley, including those in the Alaska Veterans and Pioneers Home.

ANCHORAGE

In Anchorage, Senator Murkowski will tour behind-the-scenes at both the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and the Port of Anchorage, as well as visit with local community members and business leaders around town. In addition to meeting with those in the energy industry, Senator Murkowski will also tour the 673rd MDG Hospital and the Fisher House on JBER, a housing facility for patients and families receiving medical care on base.
