Murkowski Announces Parks Highway Mobile Office Stops
Senator Unveils “Lisa Listens” Media Initiative for Direct Interaction
WASHINGTON, D.C. – In an effort to advance her engagement efforts and connectivity with constituents, Senator Lisa Murkowski today announced that members of her staff will be visiting the communities of Talkeetna, Cantwell, Healy, Anderson, Nenana and Minto from June 25-28, 2012.
Senator Murkowski’s staff members are holding mobile office hours throughout the summer to meet with constituents and community leaders. During mobile office hours, staff representatives are available to take casework requests and listen to constituent concerns about issues related to the federal government. All information gathered by staff will be directed to Senator Murkowski and to the appropriate federal agencies to resolve concerns raised by Alaskans.
In addition to making her staff available to listen to Alaskans’ concerns, Senator Murkowski is unveiling “Lisa Listens,” a program connecting Alaskans with the Senator directly through video. Staff members will record questions submitted from Alaskans via flipcams during mobile office hours, and Senator Murkowski will respond to a number of them from Washington D.C..
