Murkowski Announces New Staff Members
Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) announced new staff members to her Washington D.C. and Fairbanks offices.
“I’m very excited about the new additions and to our office people who bring with them a diverse background of experience, dedication, and passion for public service,” said Senator Murkowski. “I’m confident that they’ll be in positions to help this team succeed in our mission of delivering results and driving positive change for Alaskans.”
Joe Plesha joins Senator Murkowski’s D.C. office as the Communications Director. He most recently served as the Digital Director for Lisa’s 2016 campaign team. Joe later worked in Governor Walker’s administration served as Press Secretary then Communications Director for the Alaska House Coalition in the State Legislature. Joe earned a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Washington.
Noah Nosek joins Senator Murkowski’s D.C. office as a new staff assistant. Noah is from Anchorage and recently graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability. During his time at university Noah worked for the Forest Service as a biological technician focusing on invasive species mitigation.
Amanda Klawinski joins the D.C. office as our Coast Guard Fellow. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Government from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Amanda previously served as an Intelligence Officer at Sector Southeastern New England in Woods Hole, MA, as the Command, Control, Communications, Cyber, and Intelligence (C5I) Department Head at Patrol Forces Southwest Asia in Manama, Bahrain, and most recently, as the Administrative Officer at the Office of Congressional Affairs in Washington, D.C.
Stacy Pense is being promoted from Grants, Correspondence, and Intern Coordinator in the Washington D.C. office to Regional Special Assistant in the Fairbanks office. She worked in the credit union industry in Fairbanks various positions for 22 years.
