Alaska Delegation Welcomes Dana Herndon to Serve Juneau Area Constituency
U.S. Senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan, both (R-AK), today announced that Dana Herndon has been hired as their Juneau Delegation Representative. As the Senators’ representative, Herndon will assist constituents in Juneau and other communities in Southeast Alaska. Herndon will replace Connie McKenzie, who served in this position for the delegation after nearly 15 years.
“We are sad to see Connie go after her many years of public service. She has served the people of the region well and has certainly earned this retirement. We are pleased to welcome Dana to our team. Her experience in the communications field and tenure with the Juneau Economic Development Council makes her a great addition to serve the Alaska Delegation and our state as a whole,” said Senators Murkowski and Sullivan. “With Dana’s heart for Alaska, her experience, and commitment to the betterment of local communities, she is well equipped to assist Alaskans across the region. We look forward to the good work that Dana will do in support of our service to Alaska.”
A Juneau resident, Herndon owned Higher Image Management, a full-service marketing agency based in Juneau. Herndon joins the Alaska Delegation with a strong background in public relations and economic development as well as a broad understanding of Southeast Alaska. Previously, Herndon worked for the Juneau Economic Development Council to help increase economic opportunities for Alaska. She has also served as a Public Relations Specialist as well as a Media Relations and Project Manager.
